Chicana inspired jewelry and visual art

Maribel Galvan was born in Los Angeles, California but has called the Northwest home for over two decades. Her Mexicana roots are reflected in her Chicana inspired art; including handcrafted jewelry under MariGlvn. Many of the pieces she creates, whether it be molcajete earrings or paintings--are dedicated and inspired by the strong mujeres in her life--especially her querida madre who passed from Leukemia. She always taught her to overcome any obstacles, to be curious, adventurous, work hard, and the meaning of unconditional love.

Her work has been displayed at South Seattle Community College, Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery, Central District Ice Cream Co, and the 2018 Seattle Frida Fest.  You can purchase items at Cubes Baking Company, Resistencia Coffee, online, and different pop-up markets throughout the year in the community.
